The Road Less Traveled

You are probably familiar with the poem by Robert Frost describing a road that diverges in the woods.  In one direction the road appears to be used more frequently; the other direction appears less traveled.  The poet states he chose the "road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."

This poem has so many implications, but I would like to apply it to dentistry.

Thomas and Barbara

I'd like to begin by sharing with you an experience that I had with a patient of mine.  For purposes of this blog, we'll call her name Barbara.  She came to my office looking for help with her teeth.  Unfortunately she has lost almost all her teeth, and the few teeth that she had remaining were not worth keeping.
